Shekou Container Terminals general manager Chris Langford said: 'Shippers can now ship cargoes directly from the Pearl River delta without having to bear the extra cost and time of land border crossing into Hong Kong first.' He said the terminal's transshipment business from southern China to Asia, Europe and the United States was growing.
